Joliet Area Historical Museum — Illinois

The record

The museum occupies the former Ottawa Street Methodist Church. Staff accounts collected by Ghost Research Society describe childlike footsteps, laughter and an apparition nicknamed Emma. In 2022, investigators tested several exhibit areas, but their report also records no personal encounter for the lead investigator and noise contamination affecting another participant’s recordings.

Paranormal explanations remain claims, not established facts. Read the original sources for context.
