The record
Donated to the Kentucky Historical Society in 1976, this chest carries a family tradition linking stored clothing with subsequent misfortunes. The museum traces that story through family correspondence and Beverly Mayne Kienzle’s 2017 book. The artifact is real; the alleged curse remains a family belief.
