The record
Nebraska's historical society preserves an 1899 newspaper account of a house near Twenty-fourth and Vinton streets that was reputedly haunted around 1870. A property agent described luminous figures and offered a natural explanation. The house was demolished; the surviving evidence is a historical report of competing interpretations.
