Fort Ontario State Historic Site — New York

The record

Fort Ontario preserves a military site with successive fortifications. Its tourism record describes reports of strange music, lights, a woman in a window and a child calling for a cat. These accounts are part of the fort’s haunting reputation, separate from its documented military history.

Paranormal explanations remain claims, not established facts. Read the original sources for context.
