The record
Author and screenwriter Sean Paul Murphy describes reported experiences in his family’s northeast Baltimore home through a series of recollections and interviews titled The Haunting of 21 St. Helens Avenue. Family accounts include voices apparently mimicking familiar people, unexplained footsteps and disturbances around a bed. Baltimore Magazine also interviewed Murphy about the account. The street address in the series title is historical, not a visitor destination. Murphy’s novel Chapel Street draws inspiration from these experiences but is fiction; the firsthand blog accounts and later reporting should be distinguished from that adaptation. These are attributed experiences, not independently established supernatural events.
